We’re finding that some existing functionalities are affected with this new impersonate feature turned on. 

  1. Trouble adding or removing team members to projects (it just spins and spins)
  2. When trying to add Internal member to the team, the search functionality does not work. You have to scroll through the entire list that isn’t even in alphabetical order. 

Both functionalities work when the View as Customer Roles feature is turned off in Labs.

Our team is very excited about the impersonate feature but cannot utilize it with other basic functionalities affected. How quickly can the fixes be released so we can take full advantage of the new feature? 

@jinnykim thanks for beta testing View As. Adding team members and reliable searching have both been a focus as we push this beta feature towards general availability. This week is the tentative target for dramatic improvements in both of those areas. Then once we have observed better stability while the beta is active in Labs, we will make this the primary experience in the next couple weeks or so.

We just found out another issue. 

Manager level users no longer have access to Resend project links with the new feature turned on. (only Admins do). 

All of our Project Managers are Managers so for them to not be able to resend project links to customer significantly limits their ability to manage projects effectively. Is this a known issue as well? 

Again with existing functionalities affected/limited, we are going to have to turn off the new feature that we’ve already announced to the team, which isn’t ideal.


Yes. Resend invite option is on track to be re added to those screens. 


@chrishaleua Thank you. I see that adding team members and search functionality works now. Do you know an ETA on when the resend invite option will be available again to the Manager users? Until then we are keeping the View As feature off.


Showing the resend invite again is targeted for the end of the month.
